I was pretty excited to check out the Sandhills. Doesn’t seem like something you’d see in TX. The living dunes can reach heights of 70’. The park rent disks so you can slide down the dunes. Fun! Unfortunately we’re here in January and a snow storm is blowing in tonight. It’s cold and WINDY! Lesson learned, there’s not much else to do in the area. Two nights max depending on how late you get in. One and done for us.
